Misión
Our mission is to lower the stray dog population and unwanted animals with our low/no cost neuter program. Teach the children how to take care and love the domestic animals and protect and respect wild life. Offer care, shelter and love to all the animals in Costa Rica.
Lilian has been a rescuer of animals all her life. They sensed her good intentions, always following her home. At one time, there were 15 cats living with her family, who were always very comfortable with lots of animals around. There were always more pets then humans living in her house, growing up.
AHPPA helps animals in Costa Rica need
AHPPA has a hospital and an animal shelter, we neuter 40 to 50 per day, with 2 full time vets working in the hospital. Sponsorships for hard to adopt dogs. Adoption of cats and dogs.

In April 2009 Lilian Schnog received an award for extraordinary commitment and achievement by the Humane Society International.
